About Monsey

Monsey, a beautiful suburban town in New York's Hudson Valley is located 25 miles north of New York City and is convenient to all NYC airports. Monsey is approximately a 1-hour drive to Brooklyn, a 1-hour drive to the Catskill Mountains and a 40-minute drive to Morristown, New Jersey. There are convenient daily commuter buses to Brooklyn, Manhattan, Monroe and Lakewood. Monsey boasts a very large and diverse Jewish community with many mikvaos, hundreds of shuls, yeshivas, girls' schools, and special education institutions. Monsey is also host to a large amount of chesed organizations including Hatzoloh EMS, Bikur Cholim, Kupath Ezra and Tomchei Shabbos. There many seforim/judaica stores, kosher restaurants, pizza shops, bakeries, take-outs and all-kosher super markets in the Monsey and surrounding vicinity.

Monsey Chabad 

The Monsey Lubavitch community* (www.monseychabad.com) is a well established, flourishing community offering multiple Shuls and Mosdos to serve the growing needs of the Chabad community. Including the long-established NCFJE branch, the Tzemach Tzedek shul, the recently established Mesivta, the Cheder and dynamic N'shei Chabad organization and many other Shuls and organizations, the Monsey Chabad Mosdos are growing step in step with the ever-expanding needs of the Lubavitch community.

Monsey can be reached by any one of the following highways: Exit 14 and 14B off of the New York State Thruway Exit 9W, 10 and 11 off of the Palisades Parkway Allendale Road exit off of New Jersey Route 17.
